Drusilla Eugene Upton

Dukie Upton was born in Edmonds, WA to John and Nadine (Branin) Thompson on February 24, 1930.

She was the youngest of six children and grew up in a two bedroom house that her father built in Alderwood Manor. She married Richard Upton in 1951. They moved to Richland, WA in 1952 and raised their family of one daughter and two sons. She would remain in the Tri-Cities for 72 years.

Dukie was a checker at Safeway for 30 years and a proud union representative.

She lost two of her children, Laurine and Brian, to cancer in the 18 months before her death. She is survived by her son Brad.
