Elizabeth Marie (Frans) Taie passed away at home in Bothell, Washington on September 19, 2024. Beth was a loving wife, a proud mother of three boys, a devoted daughter and sister, a beloved teacher, and a wonderful friend. She left a lasting impression on everyone she met with her charming smile and effervescent personality.
Beth was born on June 13, 1975 in scenic Sedro-Woolley, Washington to William and Janice Frans. She was the youngest of three children, little sister to her older brothers, Bill and Ben. Beth enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends at their beautiful home and property in Bayview, Washington.
With an infectious laugh and a curious nature, Beth made friends easily in school. And, like many of her peers, she worked in the berry fields of the Skagit Valley during her summers. Beth enjoyed being active and loved dancing and playing racquet sports, such as tennis and pickleball. She was also an alternative music enthusiast and attended a number of live concerts in the Seattle area during her youth.
After high school, Beth attended Pacific Lutheran University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, and Special Education. This was the springboard for her noteworthy career as an elementary school teacher – a career to which she devoted 27 years of her life. In 2005, Beth attained a Master of Science in Education from Walden University in order to challenge herself, expand her education, and better serve her students. Treasured by students, families, and colleagues alike, Beth was a natural-born teacher who inspired children with her sense of fun and adventure as well as her patience and encouragement. Beth cherished all of her students and their families, even, and maybe especially, the challenging ones.
There is no doubt that Beth’s own family was the center of her world. Ryan, who she married in 2009, and their three children: Camden, Hudson, and Beckett were Beth’s true loves and greatest joy. She dedicated her life to caring for them and loved traveling, skiing, biking, attending sports events, and spending time anywhere outdoors with her guys. And nothing made Beth happier than to cheer on her kids as they batted in runs, scored goals, or tackled their opponents on the field. These three boys will always have, in their mother, their number one fan.
Loyal and trustworthy, funny and fun-loving, sweet and spontaneous – Beth was someone who brought people together. Everyone was always welcome in Beth’s presence. She will be deeply and profoundly missed.
Beth is survived by her husband, Ryan; her three sons: Camden (14), Hudson (11), and Beckett (9); her parents, William and Janice; and her brothers: Bill (Stephanie) and Ben (Christina).
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to their sons’ college funds. Checks can be made payable to Ryan Taie (memo line: Boys’ College Fund) or Venmo @rtaie.
