Gary Lee Roberts

Gary Lee Roberts was born October 7, 1936 to parents Martin Odell and Hazel Roberts in Seattle Washington. He passed away on October 18, 2011 in Everett Washington at the age of 75. Gary grew up in the Puget Sound Area and graduated from Auburn High School. After High School he joined the Navy, but was discharged after a short term due to health reasons. On April 16, 1964 Gary married Barbara Marie Johnson, they were happily married until her untimely death. Gary worked at Scott Paper for several years and following that, a few in between jobs until finally going to work for Todd’s Shipyard where he worked until he retired. He was a member of the local labor unions and the Eagles and after retiring spent a majority of his time with his friends at the Everett Eagles. Gary loved sports, both watching and playing. In his early years he liked shuffle-board. Gary is preceded in death by parents Martin and Hazel Roberts, brother Steven Roberts, sister Janet Kay Orndorff and wife Barbara. He is survived by his companion Joann; stepson’s Mike (Ginny) Alexander and Mark Wescott; step-daughter Kim (Steve) Simon, Son Martin Roberts; daughters Bethany (Rick) Polar, Robin Roberts-Good and Andrea Roberts and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
