

George Bill Platis was born April 6, 1942 in Seattle, Washington and peacefuly passed away in his sleep on April 9, 2013 at the age of 71. He is precdeded in death by his parents, Bill Platis and Eula Platis Cololiers.
He is survived by his son, Damon A. Platis; grandchildren Alexander G. Platis and Austin T. Platis; brother Harry (Althea) Platis; sister Billie Platis Antak; nephew Nickolas Streeter (Julie); nieces Tawnya (Brad) Bjorkquist, Alexandra (Dr. Matthew Flugstad), Stephanie Platis; grand-nephews Stephen Bjorkquist, Isaac Bjorquist, and Lyon Streeter.
George and his siblings were raised in Everett, Washington. George attended Everett High School until joining the Navy, service his country for 4 years as a medic.
After the Navy, George went to work for Holiday Oldsmobile in Everett. George then worked at Carras Cadillac in Bellevue, Washington. In 1974, George acquired his first automobile dealership Bellevue Datson. In 1981, George acquired Bellevue Cadillac Oldsmobile. During the 1980's, George became one of the largest automobile dealers in the Pacific Northwest operating numerous franchises including Bellevue Datson, Cadillac, Oldsmobile, AMC Jeep, Mazda, Lotus, Bently and Rolls-Royce.
A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday, April 16 at 11:00am at Evergreen Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4504 Broadway in Everett Washington. Floral Memorials may be sent in Georges' honor to Evergreen Funeral Home.
The family would like to thank the scores of people supporting George with prayer, encouragement and friendship over the years and throughout his 31 month battle with pancreatic cancer, including, but not limited to Dr. Eric Jensen, James Sinegal and Dr. Mark Dedomenico.
