The last time I fished with Gordy was on the N. Umpqua at the McKenzie outing 3 years ago. Gordy had caught a steelhead the day before and took me to that drift. We didn't have any luck that day, but I sure enjoyed fishing with Gordy. I will miss his funny stories from the "old days".

Gordy was "One of a Kind"! He was a true gentleman and a mentor to many in the fly fishing community. Always ready with a helping hand or a word of advice, Gordy stood out among his peers. Gordy will be long remembered and missed by all of his friends. Our best wishes go out to Jackie and your family in this trying time.

Gordon was such a nice man.  He seemed so serious, but he really was a lot of fun.  I have a lot of good memories discussing issues of the day.  I'll never forget how well he could make the sound of a horse whinny.  Only problem, we had a really hard time to get him to do it.  Our thoughts are with you Jackie and family at this hard time.
