Mom did many things in her life and had a varied and interesting work history. Her first job after Everett High School was working at Troy’s Bakery in Everett, later after her two daughters came into their lives she was a meat wrapper at B&M Groceries (currently Claremont QFC). Following this experience she decided to try restaurant & cocktail waitress work at the Elks in Lynnwood & Everett, and for many years at the well-loved Bud’s Restaurant on Broadway in Everett, where Mom worked for her brother-in-law ‘Jimmy’.
Mom worked at the Dutch Bakery in Marysville and later decided to expand her curiosity & venture into retail working at Goodwill in Everett and Lynnwood where she managed the store, until retirement. Mom loved working there because of all the different treasures that came through the store.
In Mom’s early years dancing was a nightly event. Mom loved to dance and that passion continued with her ‘light as a feather’ dancing husband Ralph.
Mom loved to read & travel, she looked forward to their cross country motor home trips & treasured visits with nieces, Denise, Linda & Leah in Las Vegas, visiting Hawaii & several Hawaiian vacations with her beloved sisters Dorothy and Rhoda, and visiting her dear niece Michele in Maui.
Mom enjoyed PBS Channel 9 and began a new interest in the value of treasures. Mom always displayed a good eye for finding things and ascertaining beautiful treasures. She looked for bargains and attended garage sales.
Mom was a long time Seahawk fan still attending games regularly and on Monday Night Football and for her 90th Birthday had the monumental moment standing on the Fan Deck, assisting with raising the Seahawk 12th man flag. Seahawk Charter bus friends, Rae, and family will be treasured by all.
Mom would take the Everett Senior Center bus trips with beloved sister-in-law Mary, special friends, Lorraine, Jean & many others.
Mom was loved, is loved, and will always be loved.

The family would also like to express their appreciation to staff of Providence Hospice since December 2020 and previously Providence Home Care staff who have been gracious to our Mom. Your above-and-beyond care is very much appreciated.
