

Born January 27, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan and passed away October 21, 2023 at the age of 68 in Everett, Washington.
Jack worked for a utility company installing Electric Meters. He was dedicated and professional in his chosen career and retired in 2020. In his free time Jack had a love for working on cars, a skill passed down from his father. This passion became a lifelong pursuit and Jack’s expertise in car maintenance and restoration brought a great sense of pride for him. An unwavering sports enthusiast, Jack was devoted fan of baseball team the “Detroit Tigers” and the “Detroit Lions” Football team.
He would often travel back and forth to Michigan to visit with his beloved family members. Although he lived many miles away, he always kept in close contact to those he loved through phone calls and text messages. While Jack’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, his spirit lives on in the memories and stories shared by all who were fortunate enough to have known him. He will be dearly missed and fondly remember as a man of integrity and unwavering love.
He is predeased by his mother Marion Jax who dies in July of 2018 and his father Jack Shimel who passed in July of 1996.
Jack is survived by a daughter Kristen (Paul) in Michigan, a son Eric in Washington, a sister Lori (Chuck) in Florida, a sister Kathi (Jay) in Michigan and one grandson Nathan also residing in Michigan. He also leaves many good friends in both Washington as well as in his hometown of Michigan.
