Hard to imagine its been six years today... I've thought of you everyday, you are always with me. I love you Mom...

Jan, my friend, I miss you, your ready smile, your sense of humor and wit. Always ready with a come-back, even when you didn't feel like talking.  

I appreciate your love of hymns to the Lord and your devotion to Him to the very last. Your faith was an example to all of us.

You were a very strong lady, from a very strong family.  Your mother Ruth, my dear friend, was an example of that strength and I cherish the two years that I knew her.  She loved you so and her family was everything to her.  We had many talks about that.

Jan, I know you are in a better place with your beloved dad. You dealt with unspeakable pain, yet you didn't waver.  You are enjoying blessed peace now.

I'm glad to have known you!

I love you mom and I miss you so. I pray you are at peace now and know that when we think of you, we feel warmth. I am sorry for our tough times but thankful for the more times, when we laughed. Thank you for being my artistic muse, my friend, my caretaker, my mom.

Jan, you were a dear friend before you were my "sister in law". I suppose I would not have married your brother, my wonderful husband, Ken, if I had not known you. 

It always hurt to know you had to deal with so much pain for so long. I am so thankful to God that your Mother was able to spend the last two years at your side, through all the tough times. I am glad it never stopped your wonderful sense of humor or the deep love you had for your family and friends. I know that you are now in Heaven with the Lord. I know you are probably with your Dad laughing and cutting up, probably telling each other jokes and catching up on things.  Tell him we miss him terribly too!!

I loved you more than I ever told you and for that I am sorry. 

Life's terrible struggles are over, goodbye my beautiful friend and sister.
