John Trevor Cooper was born on February 12, 1941, in England, retaining many endearing British mannerisms years after emigrating to America at age ten with his family. He graduated from Edmonds High School in 1958 and the University of Washington as a mechanical engineer in 1963. After becoming a naturalized citizen and serving in the US Air Force, John spent half his career with Western Gear Corp. in Everett, the other 20 years with Boeing. He really liked cars, airplanes, and gardening.
John was a faithful servant of God, country, family, and 80 years worth of friends. He is survived by Diane, his wife of 49.5 years, daughter Andrea (Jerry) Gonzalez, son Matthew (Ann Marie) Cooper, three teenage grandchildren, and his sister Margie.
A graveside memorial service will be held outside at Evergreen Cemetery in Everett on Saturday, August 21 at noon. Anyone who knew John is very welcome.
