John L Lakey passed peacefully Sept 17 with family by his side. John was born April 16, 1927 to Albert and Lily Leakey. He leaves his wife of 47 years, Linda, children Kathy Davis, Tom (Debbie) Lakey, Ken (Karen) Lakey and Sue Lindquist, sisters Barbara Yotty and Jean Dobesh, 7 grandkids, 8 great grandkids, and 5 great-great grandkids. John served with the US Navy as a Quarter Master Third Class in WWII from 1944 to 1946. He worked at Scott Paper Mill until he retired in 1986. He enjoyed traveling with Linda to Mexico and Hawaii, camping with the family, and the many BBQ’s and bon-fires at the infamous “Ranch”. John is already so missed. He will live, talk, laugh and drink Budweiser in our hearts forever. Join us for a celebration of life on Saturday Sept 23rd 1PM at the family home, 914 N Machias Road in Lake Stevens WA. Funeral services will be Monday Sept 25th 1PM at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4505 Broadway, Everett WA.
