John S. McInnis died October 24, 2013 in Everett from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Hinsdale, Montana on November 14, 1927. His family moved to Washington State in 1934. John lived in Marysville and Granite Falls most of his adult life. He worked as an auto mechanic, an electric-sign electrician, owned and operated McInnis Electric in Marysville for 25 years, and finished his career as a project superintendent for various electrical companies.
In retirement, he enjoyed hobbies of photography and caring for his pets, and became a Master Gardener. John leaves behind his wife of seven years, Carolyn; son, John W. McInnis of Lake Stevens; daughter, Debbie (Ron) Ball of Marysville; daughter-in-law, Terrye McInnis of Mount Vernon, WA; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his wife's children and grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his seven siblings and his son, Stephen. Arrangements are being held under the direction of Evergreen Funeral Home & Cemetery, www.evergreen-fh.com, in Everett, WA.
