Johnny was born January 10, 1927 in Drummond, Wisconsin to parents William E. and Martha Mendenhall, and passed away on July 14, 2011 at his home in Everett. Johnny was an Army Veteran and service in Germany in World War II. Johnny married his sweetheart Frieda, who passed away in 1987, and lived in Lowell for 61 years. Johnny had an avid love for fishing. He worked for Lee Paper Company and later Frontier Bank until he retired. He is preceded in death by his second wife, Ruth. He is survived by his son Burt (Geri) Thompson from Phoenix, Arizona; daughter Barbara (Jay) Stroh of Marysville Washington; granddaughter Teresa (Travis) Katzer and great-grandson Booker. He is also blessed with three step-grandchildren Jason, Lindsey and Jamie Stroh and their children. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 22, 2011 at Evergreen Funeral Home and Cemetery with a Reception to follow the services.
