Judith Jacqueline (McIrvin) Gall peacefully passed away Sunday, October 23rd, 2022. Born March 16, 1936 , aged 86, Judy is survived by husband and best friend of 63 years, Philip J. Gall, beloved daughter Denise Jenkins, son-in-law, Jay Jenkins and her cherished grandchildren, James and Josef.
Judy was born the youngest of eight children in Felida, Washington. In 1954, Judy graduated from Vancouver High School. For a time she worked at Alcoa in Vancouver.
On November 12th, 1960 , Judy married the love her life, Phil. In 1966, Judy and Phil moved to Eugene where Phil graduated from the University of Oregon Architectural School and eventually became partner of The Wee Group Architect Firm while Judy worked at the University of Oregon for decades, first in the Home Economics Department, then the Religious Studies Department.
Soon, along came her children Denise Jacqueline and Nicholas Josef. Gazing from her kitchen window overlooking the hills of Laurelwood Golf course, through the years Judy watched over first her children, then grandchildren, playing in the backyard.
A diehard Duck Football season ticket holder since 1968, decades of Fall Saturdays found Judy either at Autzen Stadium or in front of the television rooting for her Ducks.
The years passed on Emerald Street filled with trips to the Oregon Coast, Vancouver and Portland, each centered on visiting her large extended family where Judy would often perform her award-winning, high school baton routine well into her 70s.
In 2001 and 2002, Judy was blessed with two grandkids to take to the Seal Lion Caves, Lincoln City. Disneyland and long train rides.
In 2017, Phil and Judy moved to Everett, Washington to be closer to those grandchildren and Denise’s family.
Judy is preceded in death by son Nick. We assume they are now having a long hug and shortly begin gossiping about the family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2p, Friday, November 4th at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4504 Broadway, Everett Washington, 98203.
