Karol Sue Bannerman

Karol was born on June 5, 1937, to Charles V. Rose and Virginia Mae Rose (Skillman) in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After graduating from Tulsa Central High School in 1955, she moved to California, where she met and married her first husband, Donald Reeves, in 1957. They welcomed two daughters, Cynthia (1963) and Julia (1966). Karol and Donald separated in the late 1960s and officially divorced in 1971.

In 1974, Karol began a new job where she met the love of her life, William (Bill) Bannerman. Bill had a daughter, Jayne (1958), bringing them together as a family of five when Bill and Karol married in 1976. Together, they lived an exciting life of globetrotting, moving to Italy in 1979. They returned to the States in the early 1980s as the children reached adulthood, before moving to London in 1988. In 1992, as their grandchildren were being born, they moved back to California. They settled in Everett in 1997 and resided there ever since.

Karol was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Virginia; her sisters, Leslie and Bonnie; and her first husband, Don.

She is survived by her loving husband, Bill; her sister, Vonda; her three daughters, Jayne, Cindy, and Julie; and her grandchildren, Ian, Marilyn, Olivia, and Su.

The family greatly appreciates the outreach and warmth from friends and loved ones, and will hold a private ceremony to honor her memory.
