

Laura was born on July 21, 1921 in Everett Washington to Edith Glick Morehouse and Cecil Morehouse, M.D. Laura is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester Norman Tupper; husband Herbert Wayne Tupper; sister Dorothy Lucille Grieb and brother, Charles Richmond Morehouse. She is survived by her six children Michele Osgood, Chuck Tupper, Edith Rutt, Alex Moomaw, Josie Discher and Curtis Tupper as well as 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Laura graduated from Lake Stevens High School in 1939. She worked with her husband, Les logging in the Cascades as a donkey operator and truck driver. Laura attended Junior College and earned a degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She also drove school bus for Lake Stevens School District. Laura served as a foster parent for most of her life. She recently was awarded a 50 year pin as a member of the Granville Grange. She started the first savings account with Cascade Bank in 1933. During her years living in the Everett/Lake Stevens area, Laura volunteered with the Lake Stevens School District, was a volunteer usher with the community theater and involved with the Widowed Information and Consulting Services (WICS). Laura loved bowling, square dancing, woodcarving, photography and traveling, especially with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Special appreciation to granddaughters Kimberley Scofield and Theresa Responte for their loving care in Laura’s last days.
Pallbearers for Laura will be: Brandon Brubaker, Donnie O’Brien, Nolan Responte, Dustin O’Brien, Colton Responte and Reilly Responte. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Anthony Tupper, Charles Kopp, David Kopp and Kristopher Brubaker. A public visitation will be held from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4504 Broadway in Everett. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 5 at Evergreen Funeral Home with Interment Services to Follow at Evergreen Cemetery. A reception will follow the services at Evergreen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Providence Hospice.
