Lawrence Earl Wadena, also known as Larry, Papa Larry and "Wad", passed away peacefully at Prime Senior Care Adult Family Home in Marysville Washington after a long 4 year battle with dementia and other medical issues. He was 77 years old. He will be missed deeply by all who knew him and loved him as his presence touched so many of our lives.
He was born on March 30, 1948, in the small town/village of Waroad Minnesota to Delores Mae Oshie and Laurence Edward Wadena. Larry is the oldest of 6 children, he came from a loving and caring home, and he took care of his younger siblings, always wanting to be there for them. He is preceded in death by his soul mate Beverly Fazil, both his parents, his 2 brothers John Robert Lawson and Joseph Scott Burnett, and one of his 3 sister's Kathy Louise Hanlon. Larry is survived by his 3 beautiful children Lori, Laci and John Robert "Bobby" Wadena. His 4 wonderful grandchildren, 2 amazing great grandchildren, and his siblings Ramona Holzinger, and Lisa Boswell, plus numerous family members who loved him dearly.
Larry was a proud Marine in the Marine Corps who served in the Vietnam War. He loved watching the Mariners and the Seahawks, he also played a little baseball himself in his younger years. He enjoyed the outdoors as well, spending time at various lakes with family and friends celebrating birthdays and different occasions. Larry, along with Bev and his kids spent many weekends at the swap meets and liked to visit numerous garage sales in which he loved hunting for various treasures! Larry believed in our Lord Christ Jesus and we are at peace knowing that he is now with our Father God in the kingdom of Heaven.
Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer. From the ends of the earth I call to you, when my heart is faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I, for you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the enemy. Let me dwell in your tent forever! Let me take refuge under the shelter of your wings!
Psalm 61:1-4
