She came into this world, two months premature, on Thursday, February 11th 1943 weighing just over 4lbs, in Mineral Wells, Texas.
Lenna had 7 brothers: James Morris, Kent Morris, Paul Morris, Rudger (Pete) Morris, Kelly Morris, Gary Clark, and John Morris, and 2 sisters: JoAnn Ross, and Karen Cowley.
Lenna would meet her future husband, John Ledfors, while she was in highschool, despite attending rival schools from small neighboring towns in Northeast Arizona.
After graduating from Snowflake High School in 1960, Lenna went on to attend Brigham Young University for two years, majoring in accounting.
Lenna welcomed her first, and only, child Jennie Lynn into the world just after Christmas on December 29th, 1963.
In 1964 she went on to work for the Arizona Department of Public Safety, Arizona's State Police. She was stationed at the Holbrook Arizona Substation where she remained until transferring in 1967 to the Arizona Department of Public Safety's Headquarters in Phoenix Arizona.
Lenna and John reconnected during this time, and began dating. They were married on Saturday, August 22nd 1970 in her parents farm house in Delta, Utah.
In 1973 they bought their home together in Peoria, Arizona in the Northwest Valley of the Sun. Together, in this home, they would raise their daughter Jennie, and share many wonderful years together with family, friends, and over time, 4 grandchildren.
John and Lenna were married, and never separated for more than a few days, for 52 years.
In the late 1970's, Lenna took a Communications Specialist position for the Peoria Police Department, where she stayed until she retired from Law Enforcement in 1998 after devoting nearly 30 years of her life to it.
After retirement, Lenna & John went on to move to Lake Stevens, Washington to be closer to their daughter and four grandchildren.
For Lenna, the world revolved around her family, and spending time with her grandchildren & great grandchildren was her favorite thing in the world. Her "adopted son," McGee, a little red dachshund, was never far behind her, happy to sit at mama's feet or curl up near her lap.
Lenna enjoyed playing the piano, gardening, crocheting, reading, canning, and listening to classic country and oldies rock, which was always guaranteed to get her dancing, even if it was only in her chair.
The matriarch of her family, Lenna was adored by her entire family, young and old.
There wasn't a baby she couldn't soothe to sleep, an animal that didn't love her, and an opportunity to slip in a quick hug or a hand squeeze was never missed by her.
Lenna is survived by her husband, John "Larry" Ledfors, daughter Jennie L. Telford, 4 grandchildren Lamia "Little Bitt" Hart, Kati "Katydid" Caldwell (Joey), Derek-John "Bugs" Telford (Rainy), and Zachary "Boobalah" Telford, and bonus grandson Kevin "Spoon" Goodman. 5 great grandchildren: Elizabeth, Dakota, Scarlette, Dahlia (Lamia), and Kinsley(Derek-John), all 9 siblings, and one old red dachshund, Mcgee.
Lenna left this earthly plane and was greeted by her loving parents, friends, & family who departed before her on Thursday July 21st 2022 at 13:03 with her husband & daughter at her bedside.
A celebration of life will be held for Lenna at a future date to be determined.
" Thank God for you, the wind beneath my wings."
