After graduating, Leonard was hired by the Boeing Co., where he worked for 42 years. After earning a degree in quality control at Everett Community College, he was a Senior Manager of Quality Control for the 747 at Boeing. Early in his career, he was part of the team, nicknamed “the Incredibles”, that built the first 747. Leonard also served in the U.S. Naval Air Reserve from 1966 – 1972.
In his retirement, Leonard enjoyed flying radio-controlled model airplanes. He loved cats and was a regular volunteer at the Everett Animal Shelter for many years, where he met and adopted his beloved cat, Buddy. He was blessed with several lifelong friendships, going back as far as second grade.
Leonard had a deep faith in Jesus Christ. He attended Canyon Hills Community Church services online in recent years and was a founding member of North Shore Christian Church.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Alford. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carol, his son, Daniel White, and his sister, Carol White.
