

Mahlon was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He and his identical twin brother Merwyn (Brenda) were born on April 19,1939 in Seattle, WA to Mahlon Sr. and Ethel Banks.
Mahlon was the devoted husband of Jeri Lee, whom he was married to for 64 wonderful years. Their commitment to each other is a true testament to the love, friendship and humor they both shared. Together they raised their five children Justine (John), Chris, Larry, Eric and Stuart, who were a great joy to his life. He was blessed with eight grandchildren, Kendra (Lo), James, Kamran, Haley, Eric Jr, Catherine (Austin), Austin and Andrea along with five precious great-grandchildren Kayden, Harley, Emma and identical twins Isabella and Rosalie. He dearly loved his four nieces Tammy, Angie (deceased), Lauren and Jennifer, nephew Bryan and brother-in-law Wayne (Joanne – deceased), along with extended family Trina (Mike), Kimberly, Katie (Andy), Rebecca, and Gina.
Mahlon was a warm and affectionate man and was very proud to be an identical twin. His love for animals showed through the many family pets. With an infectious sense of humor; he was always up for a practical joke that brought endless laughter within his family and friends creating lifetime memories.
Every year he looked forward to camping with his family, kite flying at the ocean beaches, hunting and fishing with his sons, grandsons, other family members and friends along with holiday and birthday celebrations. In the latter part of his life, he enjoyed going to the casinos to dance with his wife and attend lunches at various senior events. He loved talking with people as he attended games and other events for his children, grandkids and great grandkids. You could count on him making at least one new friend wherever he went.
He graduated from Roosevelt High School in Seattle in 1959 where he was 1st chair playing trumpet in the band. He and his brother Merwyn went on to join the Air Force, serving at Paine Field in Everett, WA. They worked in the dispensary and many other areas of the hospital. After his discharge from active service, Mahlon went on to Bellingham where he attended Western WA College to obtain his degree in Education with a focus on Math where he went on and had a long career in Banking.
Mahlon was preceded in death by his parents Mahlon Sr and Ethel Banks, his son Eric Sr, beautiful granddaughter Kamran and son-in-law John.
We will forever be grateful for the love he showed to us all. Those who knew him well will miss him deeply. Mahlon’s legacy of love, laughter and generosity will forever live on in all our hearts.
Viewing will be at Evergreen Funeral Home located at 4504 Broadway, Everett WA on October 24, 2025 from 4 to 8PM.
The Banks family invites you to his Celebration of Life Service to be held at the 92nd Street Church of Christ located at 4226 92nd St in Marysville WA on November 15, 2025 at 1PM
Graveside service will be held at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park located at 1615 SE Everett Mall Way, Everett WA on November 17th, 2025 at 11AM.
