Mardine Annette Kennedy

Mardine Annette Kennedy, 76, of Snohomish, Washington, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on June 27, 2026.

Born on November 28, 1949, to Viola and Henry Moreau, Mardine was born and raised in the Snohomish area, where she would go on to raise her own family and build a life rooted in hard work, loyalty, and love. She was the beloved sister of Henry "Skip" Moreau Jr.

On August 27, 1976, Mardine married the love of her life, Wilmer "Wil" Kennedy. Together they built a strong, loving blended family, raising five children and sharing more than 50 wonderful years together.

Mardine was preceded in death by her parents, Viola and Joseph Moreau; her stepfather, Mick (Mytro) Melnyk; her brother, Henry "Skip" Moreau Jr.; her sons, Tommy Ray (Bubba) Redington and Todd Kennedy; her daughter, Julie Kennedy; and her grandson, Troy Clarberg.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Wil Kennedy; her children, Kerinna Kennedy and Tom Kennedy (Sherry); her grandchildren, Brie-Anna Bailey (Stephen), Danielle Lamkin (Casey), Matthew McCarter (Alena), Andrew McCarter, Tyler Clarberg (Jenise), Katrina Lorenzen (Joey), and Bradley Kennedy (Amanda); as well as 15 cherished great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy.

Mardine dedicated more than 25 years to serving her community through the deli department at Top Food and Haggen, where she worked from 1992 until her retirement in 2018. She was known for her strong work ethic, dedication, and no-nonsense approach to life.

Outside of work, Mardine enjoyed sprint car racing and proudly owned the No. 39 sprint car with Wil. Together they owned WAMI Smoked Meats. She loved spending time with family, could play a mean game of pool, and was fiercely loyal to the people she loved.

Her home on "the Hill" was the heart of her family. It was where everyone gathered to celebrate holidays, milestones, and everyday moments, creating countless memories that will be cherished for generations. Mardine took great pride in welcoming everyone into her home, where no one ever left hungry. She was known for her wonderful home-cooked meals, especially her famous macaroni and cheese, which became a family favorite and a symbol of the love she poured into caring for those around her.

Mardine's strength, determination, unwavering loyalty, and deep love for her family defined her life and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the family she loved so deeply and the many memories she created over a lifetime. She will be dearly missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Thank you for being by Mardine's side throughout her time in the hospital and for the comfort and strength you gave her and our family during her final days. Your kindness and devotion will never be forgotten.
