Margaret Rose McDavitt

Margaret was born on December 22nd, 1948, in Creston, Iowa, to Kenneth Edward and Rose Ann McElroy (Herring).

Margaret was the eldest of two sister; her younger sister, Mary, was a constant friend and supporter. Margaret married Michael Francis on September 25th, 1971, and was a devoted wife for 54 years. For 16 years, Michael's time in the Navy took Margaret across the country many times, but in 1979, they settled in Hawaii. While living in Hawaii, Margaret developed a deep love for the beauty of the islands, the many friends she made, and the stores she read on the beach.

Margaret was a loving mother to three daughters, Angelia Douglas, Bridget Leverett, and Mary Colleen Kunsmann. She was their strongest supporter and left her legacy and fighting within them. Margaret was also a devoted grandmother to seven grandchildren. She loved to bake cookies for them every chance she got and told stories of travels and adventures. Margaret had a deep love for her many dogs, including Pualani, her best friend until the end.

Her loving family was at her side in her final days. Margaret's memory lives through her husband, Michael Francis, three daughters, seven grandchildren, and her sister, Mary Tackett.

Margaret will be forever missed and loved.

A funeral service for Margaret will be held Friday, October 31, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at St Michael Catholic Church, 1512 Pine Ave, Snohomish, WA 98290. Following the funeral service will be a committal service at 1:00 PM at Evergreen Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4504 Broadway, Everett, WA 98203.
