It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and son, Matthew "Matt" LaMont Pulley. Matt passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 19, 2025. He leaves behind his greatest joys: being a father to Carson, Hannah, and Dylan, and a devoted husband to Amy.
Matt was born on June 17, 1977, in Edmonds, Washington, to Stephen and Terri Pulley. He graduated from Cascade High School, where he attended Sno-Isle TECH in the electronics program. While in high school, he also held a part-time position with Morgan Aero Products, demonstrating his strong work ethic from a young age.
After high school, he studied at North Seattle Community College and later pursued an electrical apprenticeship through the Northwest Washington Electrical Industry JATC, to which he was accepted. He successfully completed the program, earned his electrical license, and achieved the status of journeyman electrician. Matt remained committed to his craft throughout his life-he kept his license current through ongoing continuing education and was diligent in making sure it never expired. He went on to work as a member of Local Union 191 IBEW.
Matt later joined MTE Electric, a small family-owned company he truly loved. After many meaningful years there, he continued his career at Boeing, where he was just months away from celebrating his 15th anniversary when he passed.
Matt was a devoted father and husband who loved spending time with his wife, Amy, and their children, Carson, Hannah, and Dylan. He enjoyed watching football, especially with his son Dylan, never missing a Seahawks game. He had a love for spontaneous adventures, including last-minute day trips, ferry rides, and outings to the AMC movie theater-really anything that involved being with family. He also enjoyed thrifting and searching for heart shaped shelves with his daughter Hannah, and vintage glassware with his wife Amy. He was especially proud of his son Carson, who admired him deeply and was excited to be graduating this year-a milestone Matt looked forward to celebrating. His enthusiasm for life, sense of fun, and love for those around him were felt by everyone who knew him.
Matt was preceded in death by his brother, Brian Pulley. He is survived by his beloved wife, Amy, with whom he recently celebrated 25 years of marriage; his children, Carson, Hannah, and Dylan; and his parents, Stephen and Terri Pulley.
The family would like to thank everyone for the tremendous outpouring of love, support, and kindness during this difficult time. Your compassion has brought us comfort when we needed it most.
A celebration of his life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Northshore Christian Church, 5700 23rd Dr W, Everett, WA.
