Mike Sik Kim

Passed away on Sunday August 23, 2026 at 5:00 AM at the age of 84.

Born on October 16, 1941, in Osan, South Korea. Grew up in Seoul, South Korea for most of his childhood.

Immigrated to the United States in 1968, to Los Angeles, CA.

Served in the US Army from 1971 to 1976. In 1975, while he was stationed in South Korea, he met and married his wife Kum Ja Lee.

After serving in the Army he returned to Santa Monica, CA. Had various jobs, such as welding and painting, before starting his first laundry business in Culver City, CA in 1979.

Moved to Bellevue, WA in 1989 where he operated US Dry Cleaners until he retired in 2013.

He was a devout Christian and student of the bible. He enjoyed camping, fishing, BBQing, and computers. During retirement he fulfilled his life-long dream of growing fruits and vegetables on a 2-acre property. He also spent many days hiking at Meadowdale Beach Park and walking around Lake Stickney Park.

Survived by his wife Kum Ja, children Jim, Tim, Konni, Lisa, Mike Jr, and 13 grandchildren.

The family would like to thank caregiver, Subin Mun, for the care, compassion, love and dignity she showed Mike Sr during his last four months.

In honor of the deceased's wishes, the family requests no additional flowers or financial contributions. Thank you for your prayers, love and condolences.
