Pastor Monte Alan Roe

August 29, 1960March 8, 2019

It is with a heavy heart we announce that our beloved husband, father, and Pastor Monte Roe passed away unexpectedly on Friday March 8th, 2019. Monte Roe was born August 29th, 1960 in Great Falls, MT. He is the son of Larry and Fran Roe of Albuquerque, NM. Monte grew up with his twin sister Marge Rivers of Fife, WA, Sonja Hagen of Lake Stevens, WA, and brother Pastor Corey Roe of Gold Bar, WA. Monte married his high school sweetheart, Sheri Roe, on August 23rd, 1980. Together Monte and Sheri put serving God first in lives. Monte Roe became the Pastor of Allen Creek Baptist Church on March 9th, 2001, and exactly 18 years later, on March 9th, 2019, it was announced to the church that he had gone home to meet our Lord and Savior. He was a true man of God, never willing to waiver on God’s Word, completely UNBENDABLE. He was a husband who loved his wife Sheri unconditionally. He is survived by his wife Sheri, 4 children, Jared, Jessica, Jeremy, Julie. 6 grandchildren Gaven, Bentley, Alexis, Langston, Braylynn, and Frank. Monte trained his children and grandchildren up in the way they should go and always made it a priority to show them love and who God really was. Pastor Roe was loved by many and had an impact on thousands of hearts and lives through his 40 years of serving the Lord. He was a living and breathing example of a man that had to pick up his cross daily and follow Christ. As much as it saddens us that he was taken home early, we know he is no longer in pain, and no longer suffering. He has fought the good fight, he has finished his course, he has kept the faith! Henceforth there is laid up for him a crown of righteousness. We will see him again. We will walk with him again. We will talk with him again. We will sing and laugh with him again. We know this is not the end. As our Pastor always said, "We are one day closer to the Lord's Return!"

I first met Monte in 1987 when he was working as plumber. Shortly thereafter we visited and he wanted to go into plumbing business for himself. Years later he told me he was leaving plumbing behind and would be starting a new church. Monte officiated at my wife Judy's funeral in 2009. No person knows how much time shall be given to them. Today is June 28 and I just was told of Monte's passing. I am in shock, yet I know Monte is with Jesus Christ because He promised eternal life to His followers. Monte truly loved our Lord. My heart and prayers go out to his family. May God comfort each as they proceed through life.

Monte had such a strong impact and influence on the Fleet Family. He was the perfect fit for our family as our teens were going through those growing pangs and challenging years. His wisdom was years ahead of his time as he broke down the structure and comparison of good Godly Christian Holy Spirit led music verses todays contemporary "sprinkled religious" music.
Monte stood strong on the principles of God - agree or disagree - you had to respect him!
The beautiful thought is KNOWING he has his mansion and is rejoicing with several other saints that were awaiting his arrival. Although we didn't want to let him go - God wanted him more and his timing is always perfect.
Sincerely loved this man!

Monte lead me to the lord at age 13 in his car outside of the bible Baptist church in Everett Wa. That was 34 years ago. I was just looking g him up to contact him see how he was doing and thank him let him know how much I love God. I am sad to hear he passed from this life but happy to hear he served our Lord for all these years. And we are spending eternity in the same place so... Monte, I love you brother. I'll see you in Heaven!

My first memory was of Sheri and Monte being engaged. He was not my youth pastor yet at the time (that came later). I was 9 years old and I could tell they were very excited, but especially Monte, because I think he felt he won the best prize when he snagged Sheri. Then I remember him working with Will House to take over leading our youth group. What a sweet man Monte was. Without words you can see in people's eyes whether they love people. You could immediately tell with him. Thank you God for such a wonderful example you provided in Monte.

Even though it’s been years since I have seen Pastor Roe, he frequently crosses my mind. There are so many beautiful lessons and faith based principals that I learned from him that are deeply rooted in who I am today. For that, thank you, Monte.
I remember him and I meeting for coffee even years after I had moved on to another church just to catch up on life. We had such a good conversation with laugher and smiles, like good friends. He was always so nice to me and treated me like family when I was near. Going to miss him, he was truly a good person thru and thru.
My deepest sympathy, prayers and love go out to the Roe family. Warm hugs

I was very saddened to hear that Mr. Roe passed on so soon. I am one of his daughter in laws best friends, and from the time I met him he accepted me for who I am with no questions asked. I appreciated all of the love and support he always showed to his family and friends of family. All of our love is with you and you're family today and always.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Monte's passing, but praise our Lord Jesus, it isn't the sorrow of those who have no hope. He stayed the course and touched many. I'm praying for the whole family. See you soon brother. After you saw Jesus, perhaps you got to hug Will, Cici, and Roy. A great reunion awaits us all!

During Pastor Roe's stay at Springfield, while at Bible college, we both attended Wilson Creek Baptist Church.
I could see the house they had rented from James River expressway. I remember several times driving along the highway and seeing him sitting in an upper room, apparently studying.
Whenever I drive down James River expressway and pass the house I still look up at the window, and think of him. See you soon preacher

My husband, Bro Johnson was monte and Sherri’s youth pastor at BBC. Monte was so faithful and encouraging to us. We have so many memories of that group of young people. They will always be in our hearts.
Our condolences to Sherri and the family. He certainly has many rewards in heaven. It’s not goodbye but see you later Monte.
