Patricia (Patty) Draucker quietly passed away in her Everett home Sept. 5, 2021, surrounded by her adopted cats and loved ones. Evelyn & Lyle Barton welcomed Patricia into the world March 23, 1949 in Minot, North Dakota where she learned the art of family fun through childhood pranks and long talks with a quacking duck. Patty married Edward Draucker, a career focused young man in the Navy, from upper New York State and together their love for a high mountain lake, with its soft gentle breeze, would call them out for many camping trips.
What did Patty hold close to her heart? Great conversations and forming long-term friendships were held closest to Patty's heart and she would say, “I learned that, from my quacking duck”. Patty talked with everyone and made friends easily, but she held tight, to her heart, every conversation, long-term friendships and treasured every moment she was a staff member with the Everett Public Library.
Patty was preceded in death by her husband Edward, sister Michelle (Mickey), brother Thomas and her parents. Patty is survived by her brother- in-law Brian Meagher, nephew Patrick and his wife Erin Meagher whom already miss hearing Patty's favorite phrase, after sipping a cold glass of Pepsi, “That's good stuff’.
A private gathering at her grave was held September 14, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, Everett, were she was laid to rest with her husband, Ed and next to her sister, Mickey.
