Phylene was born in Anacortes on March 27, 1943 to Ed and Dollie Rogers. She passed away on November 17 in Everett Washington after an 8 Year battle with Scleroderma.
Phylene attended and graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1961. In October of 1965 she met the love of her life, Bruce R. Timm. In 1967, the couple hopped on a train for Spokane Washington, then caught a bus to Coeurd’Alene Idaho where they were married. After raising their two children in Everett, the couple moved to Arlington in 1993 where she became an avid gardener, creating a huge flower garden that was just beautiful. She also loved her kitty’s and over the past three years had been caring for wild feral kittens. She also loved Antique hunting and taking numerous trips with her husband Bruce of 43 years to Oregon and shops all over Washington State.
Phylene loved her family dearly, her grandchildren meant the world to her….she was a devoted wife and mother. She was one of the first female Cub Scout leaders. She made everything a special occasion, especially holidays….all holidays; her grandchildren started to ask “what are we going to do for Martin Luther King Day?”
Phylene is preceded in death by her parents Ed and Dollie Rogers; brothers Rex and Wilson “Bus”; sisters Edrie, Lorraine and Audrey. She is survived by her loving husband Bruce; son Mike (Sally) Timm and daughter Melissa (Mike) Peronteau; grandchildren Kendra, Nathan, Tyler, Dylan, Cassandra, Andrea, Rebecca and Thomas as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins and friends. Phylene had a great faith in her Lord and Savior. Her love of Christ was a fundamental key to her life, she became a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Everett in 1973, where she taught Sunday School and remained a life time member. A very special thanks to Dave and Shelly Chase, Bob Byers and Antonio (Carrie) Casila for their love and support the past few weeks.
