The impact you have had on those around you, I think, is sometimes evident in the little things.  Raouf being master in so many areas, his talents and words of wisdom play themselves out in the smallest of ways… 
I have looked out my door at my fence for 2 years and thought “I need to coat that with varnish so it will be shiny like Raouf’s”… Each time I see a Hyundai car, I recall his pride at finding a car that year that looked “just like a Mercedes” at a fraction of the price.  He was right.  Always full of insight and humor and practicality.  
More important examples of his talent and wisdom are evident in his beautiful wife and daughters.  They are reflections of him and one another.   
Raouf , thank you for your friendship and for sharing your family with us.

Dear Raja, Roxanne and Rachel - I want to thank you for keeping us all updated over these past few months of Zak's illness.  It was hard news to hear, but we know his pain is no longer and we will see him again one day.  I have so many fond memories of Zak, thinking back to the early days, he was always one to joke around with us kids about not getting to close to his car when we were riding our "Big Wheel's" down Riverview.  In the summer's I always enjoyed the invite to pick those wonderful cherries in your backyard.  He was also there all along the way keeping me employeed.  When I was little he would pay me a penny a weed and a nickel a dandilion.  In my teens it was mowing your yard, spreading bark and digging irrigation trenches (still not sure if we ever fixed the soggy lower back yard , but Zak sure engineered up some crazy drainage systems.  After college, he never let me down.   He caught up with me at the mailboxes one afternoon and started the pitch of why Boeing might make a better fit and all that it had to offer.  He was right, it was a wonderful place to get a first start and work for several years.  Many times he would pull me aside and give me a mentoring session on how to get something pushed through the political side of business.  His guidence and mentoring have helped me so many times now as a manager on how to or how not to handle situations that arise.  He had very high expectations of his hires and liked to brag about how many of them had surpassed him in management or gone on to do other great things.  So many words, memories and situation remind me today and will continue to remind me of Zak.  He will be greatly missed.

I was so sorry to hear of Zak's illness and of his passing.  I knew Zak growing up, but I really got to know him when I worked for him at Boeing.  He was a great boss and a great person to be around.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family.  He will truly be missed by so many.

Dear Raja, Roxanne, and Rachel:  I'm so sorry to hear of your loss; however, I know that Raouf isn't suffering as he is now spending eternity with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  I'll be praying for each of you in the coming days.

Dear Raja, Rachael and Roxanne, we were praying and following Zak's condition closely for these past few weeks.  We were heartbroken that God did not answer our prayers the way we hoped for healing, but we know His infinite love and wisdom will prevail over all circumstances.  Your Dad was a miracle and most admirable among men.  I am thrilled that I was able to meet him. You all have our continued prayers and support as you grieve and remember.  He was a special man.  You are a special family.  We look forward to being with you on Saturday to honor him and to thank God for him and for you!

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Zakhary family.  He was my Supervisor in Tooling I.E. and I remember some great conversations and mentor sessions with Zak.  As a relatively new hire he taught me a lot about the Boeing company and how to navigate the Bureaucracy.  

He always had a great attitude and I considered him a friend even after I moved on from his group.

RIP Zak.

Our prayers and sympathy to the Zakhary family. Raouf was a man who carried many roles: son, husband, Dad, co-worker, friend, mentor. However, his shining moment was as a husband and father. Pride illuminated his face whenever he spoke of his girls. Raja, Roxanne & Rachel, may his love of life, his unconditional love and his great sense of humor remain a heartfelt legacy in your lives. In this time of sorrow and grief, there are hardly any words that can comfort or ease your loss. May your memories of Zak serve as an extension of life in your heart and souls, as he will live with you there forever.

I'm very saddened to hear of Zak's passing. He was my first supervisor at Boeing and became a very good friend  and mentor. I remember him as a proud family man whom always beamed when he spoke of Raja, Roxanne,and Rachel. Zak was truly a unique individual and will be missed by all.

My deepest sympathy on your loss.  Whenever he spoke of his family, he always radiated pride. Zak was a great man and a great boss.

I am saddened by news of Zak's sudden passing.  He was a great Industrial Engineer and a true professional in all that he attemped and accomplished.  He always had a positive comment and effect on everyone that he came in contact.  As his former supervisor, manager and director at Boeing Everett, Zak is someone who I would always include on my team!

Zak was a great family man, co-worker, and friend. Always had a good sense of humor in the work place. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Zakhary family.

The loss of someone so close is difficult to bear.  We share your grief.

I was so sorry to read of Raouf's passing. My family met the Zakhary family in Yakima in the mid 60's. My two aunts had known them in Egypt. The families spent a little time on special occasions. He was such a nice young man and I was excited to see the family photos to see he had a full life in the short time he was here. Raouf's father was named Reed, and my father's name was Reed also. Spelled the same. Very fond memories when we would visit. May the Lord bless you all at this time. My regret is not seeing him in the later years.

Rest well my friend as you have traveled a long road with strength and faith and above all honor.  I will miss our talks about those three wonderful girls in your life and how your eyes just sparkled with pride.  Be well my friend until we meet again.
