Raymond Hugh White

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Raymond Hugh White, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, relative and friend. Raymond passed away peacefully in the early morning hours on June 24, 2025, surrounded by his loving children. He was born Raymond Hugh White in Yakima, Washington to Bonita Ray Smith and Clarence Anson White on January 26, 1947. He was the second oldest of three children.

Raymond was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He married Marcella Ann White on June 27, 1975 at the Salt Lake City Temple. Together, with their children, they lived in their Everett home for almost 50 years.

Raymond loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren who brought so much joy to his life. He loved to travel – particularly to Hawaii, Whistler, and Victoria BC, where he and his family shared many wonderful memories. Raymond enjoyed many hobbies throughout the years - collecting antiques, studying history, genealogy, skiing, Seahawks and Silvertips games, bird watching, and fishing with his wife and son.

Raymond was the very best of men—gentle, wise, and endlessly kind. He led by quiet example, showing the true meaning of unconditional love, strength, and integrity. To know him was to feel seen, protected, and cared for. He was fiercely loyal, deeply compassionate, and had a quiet sense of humor that brought comfort and joy to those around him. He gave the gift of feeling safe in a world that often feels uncertain.

Raymond is survived by four of his loving children, Jim Zuanich, Andrene Zuanich, Chandra Gordon, and Alexander White; his grandchildren, Aaron Campion, Brittaney York, Mariah Cowan, Amandalyn Moser, Rachel Schumann, Jackson Gordon, Blakely Gordon, and Sophie Gordon; his great grandchildren, Maynard and Vanellope York, Myles and Tate Moser, and Decker and Lainey Schumann; and by his sister, Debbie Schauer. Raymond was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marcella White, son, John Zuanich, his parents, Bonita Smith and Clarence White, and brother, Warren Beckstead.

A service is planned at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Everett on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 3:00 PM.
