In her short 36 years on this Earth, Rica's journey was like a rock thrown into a lake: sending ripples ever outward into the future. Rica was a traveler, an adventurer, a devote servant of God, a thinker, and a true champion in persevering through life's adversities. She loved music, cooking, and volunteering to better serve her community. Friendships and family formed the cornerstone of her heart and spirit, her advocacies spoke volumes of her selfless character, and her commitment to the church was the drive that gave purpose to her life. The ripples of Rica's journeys are still seen today: amongst children in the Philippines, parishioners who serve God, and friends and families who will live in her honor.
Rica joined our God on September 2, 2023 at the age of 36. She passed away surrounded by her loved ones after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her parents Rene and Zenaida, her siblings Abigail (D) Dinkins, Jose Rene, Zarah (Jeff) Rice, her nephews Anthony, Timothy, AJ, Isaiah, Kaden and niece Alina.
