

Bob passed away quietly on August 3, 2021, in his hometown of Snohomish. He was born in Snohomish, WA in 1936 to Bruce & Evelyn (Ross) Douglas. Bob grew up on the family farm where he lived with his father and stepmother Myrtle, his grandparents Earl and Sigrid, and his sisters, Carol & Betty.
Bob worked at Scott Paper Co. after the farm and started a side business doing custom tractor work. In 1978 he left Scott Paper and started Douglas Construction (Backhoe) which he did successfully until he retired in 2005 at 70 years old.
One of Bob’s favorite places to relax was Rimrock Cove where he owned a lot from 1969-2015. Many summers were spent with kids and grandkids boating, fishing and swimming.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife Beverly, his father Bruce Douglas, his mother Evelyn Baxter (Lee), stepmother Myrtle and his sisters Betty Roed (Bob), Carol Bakken, and stepson Jeff Hastings. Bob is survived by his daughters Diana Boatwright, Ann Brennan (Jim), son Bob Douglas (Marianne), Stepson John Bachart (Becky), stepdaughters Kathy Dennis and Debbie Harrington, 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
There will be an open house celebration of life on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 2:00 pm-4:30 pm at Evergreen Funeral Home.
