Ron's military career was in the United States Navy with assignments in Korea and Washington. His civilian career included Bookkeeper, Office Manager and Branch Manager at several companies in the Seattle area.
Ron was a lifetime member of the Veterans Of Foreign Wars with over 50 years of service. His VFW membership began at Post 2100 in Everett, then later at Post 1040 in Lynnwood where he served multiple terms as District 1 Commander. He was also active in the Cooties, Elks, and Eagles.
He had a passion for having a spotless car and a well groomed yard. His hobbies included boating, fishing and day trips complete with a picnic lunch. He equally enjoyed trips to the ocean front and winding mountain roads.
He is survived by his aunt Wynn Yoki of Seattle; cousins: Vivian and Cathy Baylor of Lynnwood; son: Michael Haley and daughter-in-law Eva of Pennsylvania; daughters: Renee Hall of Oklahoma; Shannon Haley of Kansas; Bethany Haley of Everett; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father, Floyd Haley, a postal worker at the Hamilton Post Office and his mother, Mamie Haley, an employee at the Hamilton Hospital.
A private placement ceremony for Ron was held at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park in Everett Washington.
