September 1937 – November 2018
Ron Hansen 81 was born in Bellevue Washington on September 27, 1937, and passed away peacefully with family by his side on November 5, 2018 in Everett, Washington. Ron was an only child born to Harris Hansen and Isabel Finson. Ron lived most of his life in Snohomish County and graduated from Everett High School in 1955. Ron is survived by his loving wife Kathy Hansen of 18 years as well as daughters Pam Carlson (Kelly Carlson), Sharon Hansen, his step children Debra Strows, Melissa DeLeon, Patricio DeLeon and several Grandchildren.
Ron was a hard worker and compassionate man. While still in high school, Ron had a passion to own his own business, in 1950 he purchased his first gas station and first tow truck where Hansen Towing began. In the 50’s, Ron also joined the US Navy and was stationed in Bremerton. Ron is known to be loyal to his merchants in the Everett area as well as his many friends and acquaintances. Ron spent the last 60 years providing his services to the City of Everett and law enforcement.
Ron had a passion for roses passed from his Grandmother at an early age. He enjoyed working in the garden with her during the summers helping her to manage the beauty they provided. Ron was known to have had over 40 well managed rose bushes in his personal garden throughout the years. During summers, Ron also spent time fishing and crabbing with his Grandpa.
Ron’s hard work ethic was complimented with his passion for taking cruises with his devoted wife Kathy. One of the most treasured trips they took was through the Panama Canal.
Funeral services for burial will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home on November 17th, 2018 at 3 PM at 4504 Broadway, Everett, WA 98203. There will be a potluck gathering to follow at the funeral home.
