Ronald met Norma Morton, his life’s companion, in Kelso, Washington. They married on January 22, 1954. After moving to California, they had a son, Jeffery, followed by daughters Janna and Julene.
Ronald lived by the Greatest Commandments - love God and love others. He proudly served in the United States Air Force and was a public school teacher for thirty-nine years. He also blessed others through his gift as an artist, often giving away his paintings - even to strangers. He had a playful sense of humor, a love of world travel, and an appreciation for nature, from backyard gardening to the California coast. He and his wife Norma, volunteered throughout their lives at hospitals, charities, and their church. All who knew Ronald would tell you he was a man who brought the joy of the Lord with him everywhere he went. Ronald and Norma returned to Washington State and resided in Bothell until he passed away.
Ronald was a treasure beyond worth to his family and died peacefully at home, surrounded by his children. He is survived by his son, Jeffery (Kim) Taylor, daughters Janna (Todd) Davis and Julene Taylor, and his sister, Nancy Eden. He was blessed with 4 grandchildren, Lanna (Brandon) Andersen, Kyle (Gracie) Dowd, Kaitlin (Kevin) Weston, and Justin Taylor. He is survived by 11 great-grandchildren: Isla, Sparrow, Blythe, and Aksel Andersen, Nahara, Kitra and Declan Dowd, Michael Jr., and Sophia Spencer, Kariel Marcella, and Kevin Marcell Weston the second. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Norma, his parents, Jacob and Martha Taylor, and his brother, Donald Taylor. He will be laid to rest at Evergreen Funeral Home and Cemetery, Everett, WA.
