

S. Kent Brady passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026, in Everett, Washington, at the age of 82. Born on November 25, 1943, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Kent lived a life defined by dedication, entrepreneurship, family, friendship, and service to his community.
Kent graduated from high school in 1961 and later attended Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, where he met the love of his life, Paula Lee. Their relationship blossomed, and they were married on June 19, 1965, in Ritzville, Washington. Together, Kent and Paula shared 61 wonderful years of marriage, building a life filled with love, adventure, and countless memories.
Kent began his career in the banking industry, where he developed valuable business knowledge and leadership skills. He later worked in the computer department at Associated Sand and Gravel before joining Standard Insurance in sales. His entrepreneurial spirit eventually led him to purchase C. A. King Company, which he and Paula transformed into King Merchandising, Inc. Together, they owned and operated the company until 1999.
Following his time as a business owner, Kent earned his business coaching license and continued helping others grow and succeed. He later concluded his professional career with Harborstone Credit Union, retiring in 2014.
Kent was an active and respected member of his community. He was involved with the Seattle Executive Association and, along with Paula, was a proud member of the Everett Golf & Country Club. He also dedicated his time and energy to his church and the Boys & Girls Club of Snohomish County, where his commitment to helping others left a lasting impact.
Family was at the center of Kent’s life. When his children were young, he devoted countless hours coaching their soccer, basketball, baseball, and softball teams. He also enjoyed playing soccer himself with many lifelong friends. In later years, he found great joy watching his grandchildren participate in their own sporting events and concerts, always cheering them on with pride and enthusiasm.
Kent loved experiencing life to the fullest. He and Paula enjoyed gourmet cooking together, traveling the world, playing golf, and scuba diving in Hawaii and many other beautiful destinations. Their shared adventures created memories that they treasured throughout their marriage.
Kent will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, mentor, coach, businessman, and friend. His generosity, dedication, and genuine interest in others touched many lives.
He is preceded in death by his father, Sherwood “Doc” Brady and mother, Esther Pett Brady.
Kent is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Paula Lee Brady; his children; Karrin Brady Wikel (John Blanks), Kevin Sherwood Brady (Kelly Rodrigue Brady), his grandchildren; Alexandra (Ali) Nicole Stratton (Kenny), Kevin (KJ) Sherwood Brady Jr. (Charlee), Joshua Kent Wikel (Jordan), Jake Andrew Wikel (Julia), Parker Brady Wikel (Ysabelle), Madison Marie Brady (17 years old), his Great Grandchildren; Leighton Michelle Brady (KJ and Charlee) Beckham Charles Wikel (Jake and Julia), Finnley Kenneth Stratton (Ali and Kenny), his siblings; Sister-Sheri Brady Puckett (Richard) and Sister-Susan Brady Davis( Ross); as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Kent’s life will be honored at a Celebration of Life to be held on Sunday, July 19, 2026, from 2:00-5:00 PM at Everett Golf and Country Club.
