Our beloved mother, Sandra (Darnielle) Collins passed away on April 8, 2026, at age of 78. A joyful kind hearted person and the heart of our family. Sandy was known for her infectious laughter, talent as an artist, and her famous apple pies.
She had a special gift of opening her home to any and all. Thanksgiving was a grand event that often fell on her birthday
Sandy was proud to have retired from the Snohomish County Sherriff Department. She also worked in the insurance industry for more than two decades.
She taught her children to be resilient, loving, and to always share a laugh. She will be deeply missed by her children, Melinda Tuggle (Bret) and Sherleen Satushek, Dennis Christy (Tiffany) and David Christie (Valynn), grand and great grandchildren as well as a wide circle of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 40 years, Dennis Collins.
A celebration of life will be held Thursday July 30th 11am at Evergreen Funeral Home in Everett. Reception to follow.
