Scott Alan Sceeles passed on May 18, 2026, at the age of 65. Born March 15, 1961, in Seattle, Washington, Scott resided in Snohomish, Washington.
Scott Alan Sceeles, age 65, passed away in the early morning of May 18, 2026, being led by the hands of the Lord into eternal peace, where he was reunited with the family, friends, and beloved pets he so graciously loved throughout his life — then, now, and forever.
He was born on March 15, 1961, and grew up in Lake City, Washington, before making his home in Snohomish, Washington.
Scott is survived by his wife, Gayle Sceeles; his daughter, Samantha Sceeles; an unborn grandchild he was eagerly awaiting; his brothers, Steve and Mark Sceeles; his parents, John and Marcia Sceeles; and many extended family members and dear friends.
In his younger years, Scott spent countless days commercial fishing alongside his father and brothers aboard the family boat, the Trinket, continuing to build the hardworking spirit and deep love of the outdoors that would define his life. He later went on to work at Boeing, where his strong work ethic and remarkable mechanical abilities continued to shine. Scott was the kind of man who could fix almost anything with just a quick look.
Scott was an avid fisherman and hunter who felt most at peace outdoors. Among his many successful hunts and fishing trips, one of his proud accomplishments was winning a fishing derby in Lake Stevens, Washington. He also had a special love for animals, caring for the black-tailed deer that visited his backyard and treating them like family pets.
Above all else, Scott was a devoted husband, a wonderful son and brother, and an incredible father. He deeply cherished his family and carried a quiet strength and loyalty that could always be counted on. He gave his daughter unforgettable memories exploring the outdoors, sharing hidden mountain views and adventures that only he seemed to know.
Scott was baptized in the Lutheran faith and carried that same spirit of compassion, generosity, and kindness throughout his life.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his strength, his devotion to the outdoors, his capable hands, his witty sense of humor, and his selfless love and willingness to be there for his family, friends, and anyone in need.
A memorial service for Scott will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Evergreen Funeral Home & Cemetery Chapel in Everett, Washington. Burial will follow at approximately 1:30 p.m. at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, Everett, Washington.

The Lord is my Shepherd;
I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down
in green pastures;
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul;
He leadeth me in the paths of
righteousness for His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the
valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil; for Thou art with me;
Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me;
Thou preparest a table before me in
the presence of mine enemies;
Thou anointest my head with oil,
my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall
follow me all the days of my life;
and I will dwell in the house of the
Lord forever.
Psalm 23
