She was born in Seattle, Washington on December 27, 1962, the youngest of seven children of Thomas P. and Ruth J. Durkan.
Sharon resided at the Fircrest Residential Habilitation Center in Shoreline for over fifty years where she received loving and specialized care to meet her complex needs. Sharon's extended family are incredibly grateful for the care that Sharon received at Fircrest.
Sharon was a very loving, happy and sweet person with a wonderful smile. She loved to run when she still could. She loved going on outings to the local beaches and parks. In later years, she enjoyed using her iPad to look at animal videos and pictures of her family and friends.
Sharon is survived by three brothers and three sisters, three nephews and one niece. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A celebration of Sharon's life will be at the Fircrest Chapel on Monday November 10, 2025 at 2:30 PM
