

After the war, the family made their way to America to start a New Life, where 1952 they found their way to Granite Falls, WA where the family started a dairy farm.
Sieg graduated in 1960 and in 1961, he met the love of his life Barbara. They married in 1963 and had a daughter Erika in 1965 and a son Kurt in 1968.
Sieg worked for Weyerhaeuser for 33 years, but his love was working on the farm, raising cattle for beef, making hay and going fishing with his dogs.
He enjoyed doing different hobbies (Mainly with Barb) but he also LOVED playing with his trains, spending time with family and living life to the fullest with the biggest smile on his face.
Sieg is preceded in death by his wife (Barb), mother and father (Natalie & Gustav Schwendtke), his brothers Gustav, Arthur, Richard, Otto and sister Elenore.
Sieg is survived by his daughter Erika Chapman (Kon), son Kurt Schwendtke (Debra) and Julie Cooperman Bach (Tommie), Sister Lucy Heise, brothers Waldemar (Linda) and Horst Schwendtke (Kathy).
He is also survived by numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
Graveside memorial service on Friday April 19th at 12:00pm at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park.
