“Doug” passed away on February 17, 2017 at his home in Lake Stevens, Washington from natural causes. Doug had such a zest and compassion for life. His sense of humor was one of a kind, and he never failed at bringing smiles and laughter to everyone he knew. He spent the majority of his life working outdoors in construction type business, but always kept an eye out for new opportunities. He loved to hunt, fish, crab, clam, and camp; he also was a huge dog and animal lover. Doug was the kind of man who would give the shirt off his own back to anyone that needed it. He had the most beautiful eyes and smile that would light up the whole room. His free spirit and big heart had a great impact on many people. Doug is survived by his two daughters, Chelsea Nicole Hubbard and Alaina Rachel Martindale; his sister Peggy Lyons; his nephew’s, Jason Hubbard and Aaron Hubbard (Roseburg, Oregon), his niece Sarah Hubbard and many more.
His spirit lives on through music and motorcycles.
There were two celebrations of life held for “Motherhubb” – one in Lake Stevens, WA and one in Roseburg, OR. Many memories were shared among Doug’s family and friends. Thank you to all who were able to make it in his honor.
"Motherhubb" "Doug" "Daddy" may you rest in paradise and let your spirit ride on...
Gone but never forgotten. Loved by all and missed by more than you could imagine.
I love you Daddy
