Age 85, of Everett, WA passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on February 12, 2014. Sybil was born to John and Mary Mazur on September 9, 1928 in Chadbourn, NC. She attended Detroit High School, then met and married the love of her life, Max E. Hammond in Detroit, MI in 1947. Sybil worked for forty years at Sears as a manager, sales clerk, and accountant. She is preceded in death by both her parents and by her brothers, John Henry, Chester, and Tony Mazur. Sybil is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Max E. Hammond; by her daughters, Portia Jauron and Sarah Snyder (Bob); by her sisters, Portia Spelich and Sarah Everett; by her grandchildren, Jim and Sybil Jauron, Jason Snyder and Jessica Snyder-Garvin; by her great grandchildren, TJ, Sophie, Ethyan, Dion, Mia, Cole, Dillon, Kiahley, and Keelynn; and also by many other extended family members and friends.
