 Dear Cox family,
I would like to express to you how your loss has and will affect me. I came to know your dad in my senior years and our occasional  crony lunches  in various places, with old friends. Ted’s occasional phone calls now and then, were encouraging to me. I found your dad to be a warm and loving person and he will be dearly missed!
The upside is, absent from the body, present with the Lord! His passing was swift and final and by God’s Grace, he has missed the riggers of aging, even though he had been thru a lot.

Hey dad, it's me your oldest. I was just sitting here, remembering how we used to jump off the porch at the old house and it seemed so high, but you were always there to catch us and you have been ever since. Remember the time when we went to Sunday Creek to go fishing with grandpa Weaver and Pastor Wayman I must have been 8 yrs. old maybe and Pastor slipped on a rock out in the middle of the creek and was back up so fast he never got wet. I can still see his cap floating down the creek. I loved having you as my Commander when I was in pioneers in the Royal Rangers. You taught us kids a lot up through the years. You taught us common sense, but most important, you and mom taught us about Jesus and for that l will always be grateful. You were always there for us and I am missing you so much dad....it's such a big hole you left behind. I know I will see you again some day, but you left without saying goodbye. Dad, like Rick said to me, you are only a breath away...Steve

Dad, You are so special to me.  I will miss you and look forward to see you again. I always think back of the hunting, fishing  and camping trips we took as a family. I always felt very safe when you were around.  I have learned so much from you dad. You are man that stood tall in the saddle of life. Say hi to Jesus for me.
