Theora Mae Collins

her Lord and Savior joining her beloved

husband of 58 years, Don Collins.

She is the mother of 7 (Larry, Laura, Tim,

Kathy, Kelly, Donna and Matt),

grandmother of 12,

and great grandmother of 26.

She was a dedicated Pastor's wife and

cared for over 200 children in her 25 years

as a foster mom. Don and Teddy were

responsible for starting several churches

while missionaries to Canada, California,

and Washington State. Don's last work,

Faith Baptist Church (now located in

Arlington, WA) has been faithfully

pastored by Andrew Teesdale who

assumed the church 2 years prior to Don's

passing in 2007.

Theora devoted her life to the care of

others. She was a comforting influence

who shared God's love with grace, warmth,

selflessness and resilience. She was an

incalculable treasure who changed the

lives of all she knew for the better. She

taught by example how rewarding

sacrificial love can be whether it's given or

received.

Teddy's lifetime of serving others certainly

deserved reciprocation. We are grateful for

all the people who sacrificed to care for

Teddy with special thanks to her late

daughter-in-law Margaret Collins who

placed Teddy's needs above her own, and

to Jonathan Stryker who opened his home

to her and whom she loved as her own son.

She is also survived by her lifelong friend

Barbara Drollinger. She will be deeply

missed.
