Tu Cam Nguyen, a father, a son, a brother, and husband. Tu was born in Saigon, Vietnam and passed away on May 25th, 2022 at the age of 63 while battling Stage 4 cancer. Tu moved to the United States when he was 14 years old alongside his 7 brothers and sisters. After moving to the United States, Tu met and married his first wife, Myong, and had 5 beautiful children. In 2016, Tu remarried as the beloved husband of Anh Tuyet. Tu loved working with electronics and could fix the unfixable. Tu owned his own electronics repair shop, Exodus, while also assisting his then-wife Myong at her medspa, Hanna Isul. At the time of his passing, he was working as a Senior Computer Engineer at Lockheed Martin. He loved making others smile and laugh, spending time with his friends and family, sharing drinks, making music with his band or at home on his guitar and drum set, singing, watching action movies, and most unforgettably his favorite was eating chocolate ice cream by the pint. Even during his hospital stays when he needed to focus on his health and nutrition, he would always manage to sneak in chocolate ice cream.
Tu, the third youngest of his siblings, was lovingly nicknamed Bao–meaning Treasure in Vietnamese–and truly personified the name. He was a strong-willed fighter whose boundless positive energy was unstoppable, even as he battled cancer. But in the fire of his eyes and his actions, there was always a gentle purity and kindness behind it all. Tu was an angel for everyone all his life, never expecting anything in return besides a gratuitous smile. Tu was a selfless spirit, full of warmth and a heart of gold, helping strangers without even a second thought.
Tu is survived by his wife Anh Tuyet and five children, Johann, Shiona, Joshua, Hanna, and Rachel. His spirit will continue to live on in their hearts forevermore.
