January 22, 1965 -April 16, 2026
Walter Les Sinchak, 61, passed away April 16, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of service, strength, and unwavering loyalty.
Born in Palm Springs, California, and raised between Palm Springs and Escondido, Walter carried a spirit of adventure with him throughout his life. He was a proud veteran who served his country with honor in the United States Marine Corps as a Combat Engineer. His discipline as a Marine was matched only by his grit as a boxer- a toughness he balanced with a famously generous heart.
Walter was a man of deep, rugged passions. He found his greatest peace on the open road, riding his Harley-Davidson with his "knees in the breeze." One of his most cherished memories was a ride to Mt. Saint Helens with his wife, Carolyn. She remembers him in total awe of the mountain's power and the vast landscape- a trip where he was truly, radiantly happy.
Beyond the motorcycles, Walter was a man of rugged interests and a protector at heart; he was a knowledgeable enthusiast of firearms and found a deep, quiet connection to the untamed spirit of the wolf.
Walter was a man of service. As a dialysis patient, he turned his own challenges into a mission of mentorship. Through his work with the "Road Back to Life" non-profit for the Puget Sound Kidney Center, he guided new patients through their journey with the steady hand of someone who truly understood.
Above all, Walter's world revolved around his family. He was the beloved husband of Carolyn Sinchak for 41 years and the father of Michael Sinchak. He was a loving brother to Jeffery Sinchak and a cherished friend to Matt Allbery. Walter's legacy lives on through his grandson, Kyler Lionel Sinchak, the son of Michael and Jenifer.
Walter loved his family and friends unconditionally. He was the man who would drop everything to help a friend in need, and he was always there when he was needed the most. He will be remembered every time a Harley rumbles in the distance.
