Wendy (Krischano) Rife passed away on Sunday, February 8th, 2026 from acute myeloid leukemia. She was 76 years old. She was born on December 10th, 1949 in Everett, Washington to Jake Krischano and Evelyn (Galde) Krischano. She graduated from Everett High School in 1968 and married Jim Rife on June 15, 1968. They had two sons.
Wendy was a stay-at-home mom until her sons were older. She then went to work for Safeway. First as a checker and later as the deli manager. She retired from Boeing. She was a homebody and her home was where everyone gathered.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Evelyn. She is survived by her sons; Andrew and Jeff Rife, her best friend; Jim Rife, her sister; Kate Krischano, her brother; Larry Krischano, and her two granddaughters; Lauren and Audrey Rife.
Wendy was born to be a mother and she was the best. Family meant everything to her. If you were asked to describe her in one word, it would be NICE!
