Wendy Sue Schaff passed away unexpectedly at her home in Everett, WA, August 17, 2024. Wendy Sue was the first child born to Kenneth and Georgina Schaff. She grew up in Seattle, WA, attending Cedarhurst Elementary School, Sylvester Middle School and graduated from Highline High School in 1986. She had many friends and was a very outgoing “bubble of laughter.” During high school, Wendy attended modeling school. She eventually chose to follow in her dad’s footsteps, and went to work for Boeing. Wendy loved to travel. She even attended travel school to become a travel agent so that she could see the world. Wendy's true passion was Rock n Roll. Her love of Rock took her all over. She attended some of the most historic concerts for bands like Metallica, Aerosmith and Motley Crew. Wendy didn’t stop there. Wendy went on to massage therapy school in Florida, and became a licensed massage therapist. She worked for the Post Office for a while, then a major hotel in Florida before deciding to come back to Seattle. Wendy returned to Boeing where she stayed until her death.
Wendy’s number one priority was family. She really enjoyed being a “big sister” to twin brothers Kenny, Donny and a younger brother Mark. We had an indoor swimming pool and she loved to go swimming and sunbathe. The house always had a few extra children and always had room for one or two more.
Wendy’s love of Rock took her all over the world. She attended some of the most historic concerts for bands like Metallica, Aerosmith and Alice in Chains. She went to school with Mike Starr and Layne Staley from Alice in Chains. Her love of Rock made her quite popular and was fortunate enough to call many of Rock n Roll’s biggest names “friends”. She loved to document all of her concert experiences through pictures. Her biggest thrill was going backstage to meet the different bands, get autographs, collect memorabilia and take pictures. You could always find her in the front row. She organized some amazing tributes for her friends when they passed.
Wendy had a loving long-time boyfriend, Ben Axman, who also played in a band. They enjoyed going to car shows and were part of a group that often traveled enjoying life with their friends.
Wendy was a free spirit who loved thrills and excitement and one of her greatest thrills in life was skydiving with her friends. She was very spontaneous. Wendy would get on a plane and take off on the spur of the moment. One Christmas Eve, she flew to Jerusalem all by herself with no luggage, just to spend Christmas there. She was always willing to go for it and enjoyed life to the fullest.
Wendy is survived by her Mother, Georgina Schaff, Yuma, AZ; 3 brothers; Kenny Schaff, Federal Way, WA; Donny Schaff (Katie), Lemmon, SD; Mark (Candy) Schaff, Stanwood, WA; 5 nieces and nephews: Russell, Brittany, Mariah, Mark Jr, and Isabella; 2 great nieces, Jaylee and Ayla; 2 Uncles, William (Bill) (Diane) Schaff, Dayton, OH; Art (Ann) Williamson, Yakima, WA, 3 Aunts; Vi Skogen, Missoula, MT; Genevieve (Greg) Shannon, Newport, WA; Lois Leno, Rapid City, SD; 2 Half-Aunts, Laurie Pope, Lemmon, SD; Lila Flegel, Puyallup, WA; and Half-Uncle, George Branton, Smith River, CA; and several cousins.
