Bill was born to Ross and Luanne Fairbanks in Bremerton, WA, and graduated from Snohomish High School in 1973. Bill dedicated 32 years to a distinguished career at Boeing as an interior mechanic. His mother passed away when Bill was 22, leaving him responsible for his younger siblings. Bill was a cherished brother to Robin, Bob, Marcie, Darla, Steve, and John. They stood together as a united front, supporting and caring for one another. Bill's presence brought joy and laughter to their lives and he will forever be remembered as a loving brother who was always there when they needed him.
Bill found true love and lifelong companionship when meeting his wife Kathy, marking the beginning of a beautiful journey together as soul mates for almost 30 years. They had a loving family, and Bill embraced his role as a devoted husband and grandfather with boundless affection and devotion. He cherished his relationship with his mother-in-law, Midge, and became a son to her.
Bill was an avid car enthusiast and from a young age, he was drawn to the speed and beauty of his cars, especially his Ford Maverick. Bill's skill led him to win numerous trophies, solidifying his place as a respected figure at the Evergreen Speedway.
