Born in Bell Gardens California on June 30th 1950 to Benjamin Fuentes & wife Mary, Alan Fuentes passed away on April 14, 2011, after a long struggle with cancer. Alan is survived by his wife Carolyn Blincoe, his sister, Janene Pulido-Arias and brother, Benjamin B. Fuentes. Alan grew up in the Sacramento area and attended one year of high school at Rio Americano High School before moving to Scottsdale Arizona with his family. There, he graduated from Coronado High School and went on to attend Arizona State University where he graduated with a degree in finance. After college he worked in banking for several years in the Scottsdale area, before transferring into the aerospace industry. Alan moved back to Sacramento in 1977 and eventually landed a job at Aerojet General Corporation. Alan continued work at Aerojet up to the present as a parts inspector with many qualifying certificates which allowed him to inspect vital, precision made rocket motor parts. Grave side services will be held at Mount Vernon Mortuary, 8201 Greenback Ln. at 1:00 PM on April 22, 2011. All are welcome.
