

Alva was born on January 14th, 1926 to Harold and Alva Weber, and raised in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Upon marrying, in 1951, she and her husband moved to California where she lived the remainder of her life.
Alva was a successful business woman, owning several print shops in the Sacramento area with her late husband, Paul F. Basilius and then the popular Volk's Cake and Cooky Company in Citrus Heights for several years with her husband Adolph "Steve" Volk.
Alva loved spending time with her family and took special care in developing individual relationships and creating memories with each one. She was known for her positive, happy attitude and she was always able to find the best of any person or situation. She was generous with her love and had a gift of making any room a happier place.
Alva is preceded in death by her late husband Paul and survived by her devoted husband of 27 years, Steve; son Paul F. Basilius Jr. (Juliana); daughter Dori R. Basilius; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Throughout her life Alva has created a legacy of love that will continue to influence her family for good, we love you Mom and Grandma.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, April 11th, 9am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, located at 8267 Deseret Avenue in Fair Oaks. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 am. Interment will be at Mount Vernon Cemetery in Fair Oaks immediately following the funeral.
