My thoughts and prayers are with Debra and the entire family as we all mourn the loss of an amazing man! Angelo  was so kind and positive, respected   and loved by so many! He was my mentor and my boss at IAD. I'm so glad that he was able to go home to Puerto Rico in April! Angelo set the standard for what it meant to be a man, a man of family, a man of respect. Uncle Angelo probably didn't know the trickle-down effect that he had on so many of us, especially our generation of men.  He showed us that we can be great fathers, brothers, and husbands. He was not afraid to laugh even in times of sadness and he wasn't shy about telling it how it was. My only hope from all of us accepting that he is now in a better place is that we all continue to allow his legacy to live through our daily lives and actions. No matter how close or far you are from family and loved ones make sure to be there, make those memories and celebrate life with each other while we are here, no excuses. Continue to live your life as an example of how Angelo would have wanted to continue living his. Love you uncle and we will catch up another time.

Some of my most fondest memories was whenever I would go visit/ spend the night with  Pops and Nana. We would watch Big Brother , && Dancing with the Stars. Having just a television show in common with Pops was always nice to have ! 

He would always remind me how proud he was of the accomplishments I have made over the past few years . I remember him being so excited and being so proud that I had enlisted in the Air Force like he did. 

Another memory my husband has of him is when we were all in Las Vegas and he was on the machines and put in $25 and won about $100 after that. He shared his winnings with us && my husband was very surprised. That was the first time they both had met. We also went to the Spaghetti Factory as well and spent the day in Las Vegas. 

Pops was the most selfless person over ever known and the most sweetest man as well. He will forever be missed <3 and loved by so many !

I wanna thank you the most for helping me raise all my 4 girls kathie,keyana,pancy, Alana.you help and push me to get to the career I have today I finished high school and went on to college. when I didn’t have no hope you where there, you was my mentor and counselor and I will forever cherish everything you have done a great father a great uncle a great brother and a great husband to your wife.I would dearly miss all the phone calls you do on birthdays and holidays you never forget anybody’s birthdays or holidays. I will never forget how we met such a wonderful, loving person as was Angelo. We met him on a flight to Miami Florida to board our first cruise. Our sons introduced us to him and his beautiful wife Debra as they had met on the flight and started talking. Fate brought us together that day because we became great friends and didn’t lose touch after that. Angelo was so sweet to our boys and he carried on many conversations with them. We took a train ride together from Fort Ld Florida to Miami and he spoke to us about their many adventures and their love for traveling. Who knew that a couple of hours together would make such an impact on our lives. He will live in our hearts forever. We send our condolences and much love from Ian, Isaiah (his tiny friend) and David and Yesenia Valencia. Until we meet again Angelo

Dear “Uncle” Junior

Thank you for loving me as a niece.  As Sixtos’ daughter and aurea’s stepdaughter, you were always a presence in the family and admired by all. You were always the uncle, friend and big brother to many of us. Growing up together in the Bronx, we shared so many good times.  The family was always proud of you and we all looked up to you.  I you left for the Air Force and then settled in California.  Your visits back to NYC were always anticipated with pleasure.  There are so many great memories in the many years we have known each other.  You were always kind, funny, caring and your laughter and smile ever present.  I know you fought this battle hard and with all your might…God called you home because he needed an angel to look done on us that stay behind. 

This picture is of the last time we saw each other in Nov 2018 at the Fort Lauderdale airport as I was heading to NYC and you and Debra were heading to Sacramento from on their of your cruises. It was a happy and unexpected event and I was so glad to see you.  The 2nd picture is us before you left to the airport.  Always treat smile 😁

Life sometimes we want to hold on to it and never let go. Live with my uncle for 3 years in California.  I can say so much,  but I'll say this.  Loving,  kind, funny, Putting others before himself. Just a wonderful man and uncle.  will be always on my heart.

I am so proud to be your sister a brother  is a gift of  God, I'm so glad he gave us eachother  to share life, faith and family  and memories endless memories.  We have had a special bond that will be endless thank you  for  letting  me be there for you  I was honored when you told me that I was your mentor and that you felt that comfortable to come to me for counseling   I've always had an open mind and an open heart and was there to listen to you and try to guide you in the right direction as a big sister should do.  you always talked about how  much you appreciate me for helping you when you was ready to graduate from high school for getting you into a accounting  program  little that we know this open doors for you in the future . now you were ready to join the  Air force I was and I am so proud  of you my brother Angelo you were ready to start your new journey and it would lead you to bigger and better things.  No matter what the distance it felt like we were just right next door to each other. Through the years we continue to have a very strong connection You would to continue asking  for my advice  my opinion matter to you and for that I wanna thank you my brother I love you and I loved sharing ideas with you. You are my rock. I have always been there for you and you  for me .  I love how you  Remind me that you look forward for me to cook all your favorite meals like pastelles  and of course I can't forget your favorite dish when you were 17 years old the 1st thing I ever cooked for you was chili beans  every time you start to reminisce you remind me of this the stories are endless.

 You will live in my heart forever I will miss  You're laughter and talking  to you.  But now it will be your turn because you will  be the one  listening to me talking to you.

As I sit back and think about all the good times in my child hood that you were around to be a great uncle, mentor to all,  brother and father figure I realized the you were the glue of Peace that held everyone together. You held your head up high with no complaints no matter what obstacle's life threw your way. The only thing we saw was positivety, selflessness, inspiration and great guidance from a man who fought the fight of life and loved tremendously. Following your steps by attending the high school you attended to joining the military to seeing you in a place as far away as Eastern Asia, you were a welcome sight. The last thing you told me was to enjoy myself to the max ! And that’s a motto I will stand by ! You weren’t a type of person to let anything get you down. You were always a positive person even down to the roughest times and that’s something people have a hard time doing. You always keep going forward and living life to the fullest. Your smile and laugh were contagious and so were your flared nostrils when you flared your nose it always meant business. P.S. the flared nostrils run in the family. You will be missed but your light will be here forever and now we are so blessed to have a guardian angelo like you watching over us. Thank you for teaching me what’s most important in life !

Today 9/30 Happy Heavenly Birthday  My Dearest Uncle that was full of life laughter love and joy. I will cherish all the moments And memories that we have shared together throughout the years cruising, vacationing, Laughing ,Talking and 😢 Crying  together we did it alI. I'm so honored to have been able to spend this year 2021 April together on vacation in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 You went back to your roots and you were overwhelmed with joy that you were there. Even feeling sick at times you never stopped  never complained You just kept going living life you just kept pushing forward and never gave up  and always smiling and laughing.  I will hold on forever to that last hug we had when we said goodbye knowing that this will be the last time that we were going to see eachother in this life time.  we were both heartbroken we cried and Held on tight to eachother those  were my tears of Grief in that moment for you. Hugging someone that you love in that way is something we all want to do before they cross over and many of us do not get that opportunity  to say goodbye before they cross over. I am so  Grateful and blessed that we got that opportunity to do just that before you crossed over I will keep you in my heart forever You are so special and you have touched my life In ways you could never imagine I Love You ❤  Be at Peace

There hasn’t been a day that goes by that I haven’t thought about you! I miss you deeply. Thank you so much for everything and always being so honest, kind and supportive of me. I will forever hold you in a special place in my  heart and will share my memories of you with your great-grandchildren Savannah, Jaxon and Kaylee. I love you so much.
